Infrared halogen lamps feature a broad emission spectrum (380nm~10000nm), with the main portion of spectral energy concentrated in the IR-A band (800-1400nm). The spectral distribution is shown in the figure below. IR-A provides the highest energy density and optimal efficiency for most applications.
